How do I apply the luxury faux nails?

Proper nail prep is essential to a long-lasting, good-looking set.

Step 1: Open the enclosed glue and set aside. (You’ll need to cut the tip of the glue upon first use.)

Step 2: Using the enclosed orange stick, gently push back your cuticles to remove any excess skin on the nail plate.

Step 3: Gently file your nails with the enclosed nail file, evening out any ridges on the edge.

Step 4: Using the enclosed buffing block, gently buff the surface of your nails to roughen it up a bit. Glue loves rough surfaces!!

Step 5: Open the enclosed alcohol pad and cleanse your nail beds very well, removing all oil.

Tip: Apply the nails to your dominant hand first, working from pinky to index finger & save both thumbs until very last (trust me on this!!)

Step 6*: Spread glue evenly on to your natural nail. Bringing the faux nail close to your cuticle, apply at a downward angle. Slide the nail as close to the cuticle as possible and apply pressure to the center of the nail through the tip of the nail for about 12 seconds. Be sure the nail is straight because the glue sets quickly!

Tip: There may be excess glue that seeps from the sides of the faux nail. Once dry, remove from your skin. Messing with it while wet risks it getting all over your nails/fingers. 

*If using adhesive tabs, first determine which size works best for each nail. Gently pull the tab off of the backing, place on the natural nail close to the cuticle area, and completely remove the plastic backing, one nail at a time. Next, place the faux nail on to the adhesive tab, applying pressure for about 12 seconds. For sculpted nails, I recommend using both glue and tabs. Apply the tab first, then the glue.

Tip: For best results, keep your hands out of water for long as possible after initial application. Try applying right before bed to avoid water for several hours.

How do I remove the faux nails?

To avoid damage to your natural nails, proper removal is essential.

Step 1: Grab a bowl of soapy water as hot as you can stand. Add some (any) oils to the water. Note: Avoid adding oil with matte sets if you intend to re-wear.

Step 2: Soak your hands in the water. The glue will eventually loosen up, allowing the faux nail to come off. If you feel any type of tugging or pain in attempting to remove the nail, soak for a bit longer.

Step 3: Gently file off any glue from your natural nail that may be left behind.

Step 4: Place your faux nails back into the storage box to re-wear again.

 How long do the faux nails last?

With glue, they will last 1-2 weeks on average. With nail tabs, you can expect 1-7 days of wear. Longevity depends on your natural nail prep, adhesive choice, and how rough you are on your hands. Wear gloves when washing dishes, cleaning, etc. And remember, don’t use your nails as tools!!

I'm really concerned about them falling off. What should I do?

Prep your natural nails really well. This is essential for long-lasting nails. For added adhesion, use both the adhesive nails tabs and glue. Using both the tabs and glue also work out great when wearing the 'sculpted' nails. 

Rule #1: Never leave home without your nail glue.

What glue should I use?

Included in your kit is the KDS nail glue. It is very strong and works really well. Another fan fave is the 'Dashing Diva Fast Bond' which can be found on Amazon ($10). Both offer a long-lasting wear.

How do I determine my size?

Purchase the ultimate starter kit. This will provide you with 28 1-color faux nails in your selected style. This will allow you to size your nails and wear nails at the same time. Then, you will be able to order any set in a custom set of 10 nails  in your selected style moving forward.

OR 

Purchase a size kit. This will provide you with 10 blank (clear) nails in each size of your selected style. Because each style fits differently, please order a kit for each style you are interested in. With future orders, you will add your 'custom' sizes in the notes at checkout.

Which ones should I get? 'Natural' or 'Sculpted'?

Glam Faux Nails® uses Aprés Gel-X™ soft gel nail extensions exclusively. If you have a normal or flatter nail bed, both the natural and sculpted would work for you. If your nail bed is rounded or curved, the sculpted will work best. 

What comes with my order?

Everything you need to apply your luxury faux nails: 1 each- Glue, buffing block, nail file, orange stick, alcohol wipes, nail tab sheet, and acrylic storage case.

If I send you a picture of nails I want, can you design them for me?

Yes!! Absolutely!! Please send any inspo pics to my email GlamFauxNails@gmail.com or IG @GlamFauxNails. We will communicate the details so I know exactly what you want. I would love to design a requested/personalized design/set just for you!!

 Are the nails re-useable?

Yes, they are. Be sure to remove the faux nails properly to avoid damaging them and/or your natural nails. To re-apply, all glue needs to be removed from both the faux and natural nails. Investing in an electronic file (Amazon; $20) is the most efficient way to remove the glue.

Are the nails returnable?

Since this is a cosmetic product, returns/exchanges are not possible. However, if there is an error or damage with your order, please contact me immediately via email at glamfauxnails@gmail.com or via DM on IG so I can rectify for you.

 The nails I ordered do not fit. Now what?

Purchasing a size kit will help avoid this issue. Unfortunately, due to the cosmetic nature of this product, returns/exchanges are not possible. However, if you need a few nails in a different size, please order single nails as replacements.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Currently, processing time is 7-10 business days for ready to make sets.

When pricing existing and requested sets, I use the guide below to determine the price. This too allows you to 'design your own' sets & make requests based on your budget.
